What does this mean?
This decline has nothing to do with your application, your documents, or anything you did wrong. Every Kid Sports has a limited amount of funding each season, and we do our best to spread that funding fairly — across different parts of the country, different sports, and kids of all genders.
Sometimes we reach the limit for a specific area, sport, or gender before we can get to every application. When that happens, we have to decline those applications even when everything was submitted correctly.
What are my options right now?
While you wait for the next application season to open, here are a few things you can try:
- Ask your child's league or program if they offer scholarships or financial aid
- Ask about payment plans to help spread out the cost
- Contact your local Parks & Recreation department — many offer low-cost programs or extra funding
