Approved funds from the Every Kid Sports Pass are required to be processed through the approved youth sports organization (YSO) provided in the application. Attempts to use the funds towards anything other than the YSO will result in the transaction declining. If the YSO is not set up appropriately (type of business) with their credit card merchant processor, the funds will decline. Personal accounts, connected business accounts, and/or unrelated business transaction attempts will all decline at the point of sale.
Every Kid Sports has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure funds are used as stated in the approved application. Relationships with our partners, sponsors, and donors make the Every Kid Sports Pass possible in providing seasonal financial support to families.
General Tips & common troubleshooting:
- Youth Sports Organizations using PayPal must use a Business PayPal account. Personal PayPal accounts are not approved.
- Using a PayPal account that is connected to another business could result in the transaction declining.
- Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, Xoom, and other money transfer apps are not approved for use of the Every Kid Sports Pass awarded funds.
- Chek is digital card. It can be processed as any other gift card would be.
- Attempts to complete a transaction greater than the amount awarded will automatically decline. If the amount you owe the YSO exceeds the amount available on the card, you will need to work with your league to process the transaction as a "split transaction," first running the Chek card for the amount awarded, then the parent providing the balance of the payment with a second card, or cash.
- If a league needs support in processing the payment, they should reach out to their payment provider for the best solution, or contact support@chekspend.com.
